Weekly Insurance Registrations in China: Tesla Leads with 14.3k, Followed by Zeekr with 3.5k, Nio with 3.3k, and More

China’s weekly insurance registrations show BYD leading with 78,500 new energy vehicles, followed by Tesla with 14,300 units. Despite a decline from the previous week, Tesla’s registration of the revamped Model 3 is the third-best week of the year. BYD and Li Auto both set new monthly sales records in July, with BYD delivering 342,383 NEVs and Li Auto delivering 51,000 NEVs. Nio registered 3,300 units, while Xpeng registrations rebounded to 2,300 vehicles. BYD remains China’s largest EV manufacturer, with a consistent performance, securing the fourth consecutive week with over 70,000 units registered.
