In the first half of 2024, Tesla Model Y emerges as top seller in China’s NEV market with 207,817 units sold

Tesla’s Model Y is now the best-selling new energy vehicle in China, selling 207,817 units in the first half of the year. Tesla China sold 71,007 vehicles in June, with 11,746 units for export. The model has been included in the Chinese Government’s procurement list for electric vehicles. In South Korea, the Model Y sold 10,041 units. A revamped version codenamed “Juniper” is expected to be launched in early 2025. Elon Musk confirmed that there will be no new Model Y this year. The revised Model Y is expected to have a similar exterior makeover to the refreshed Model 3.
