Weekly Registrations in China: Tesla Leads with 14.2k, Followed by Nio at 4.6k, XPeng at 2.8k, and Others

China saw BYD set a new record with 87,800 new energy vehicles insured last week, a 12% increase from the previous week. Tesla followed with 14,200 units insured, including 4,400 Model 3s and 7,800 Model Y SUVs. Li Auto also saw an increase to 11,600 units insured. Both BYD and Li Auto achieved new monthly sales records in July. Nio’s insured units rose by 39.4% to 4,600, and Xpeng saw a 22% increase to 2,800 vehicles. Xpeng is set to launch its cheapest model, the Mona M03. Overall, the NEV market in China continues to see growth.
