The United States has reached 200,000 public electric vehicle (EV) charging ports, with 9,000 new ones added since late August. The Biden-Harris Administration has doubled the number of available EV chargers, aiming to build 500,000 stations by 2030. The growth in the US EV market necessitates the expansion of charging stations, supported by programs like NEVI and CFI. The US Department of Energy and Department of Transportation provide funding to establish and maintain these charging ports. Recently, a $150 million grant project was launched to repair and replace over 4,500 EV charging ports in the US.
