Tesla’s vehicles have been included in a new government procurement list in China.

Tesla has been included in the government procurement list of Fujian province for the first time, offering their Model Y for purchase. The electric vehicle, starting at 249,900 yuan in China, provides a range of 554 kilometers with a top speed of 217 km/h. This move by the Chinese government demonstrates support for the development of smart vehicles, regardless of whether the manufacturer is Chinese or foreign. Sun Xiaohong of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products emphasized the government’s encouragement of intelligent connected vehicles by including Tesla in the procurement process.
