Tesla to Accelerate Introduction of Full Self-Driving in China, Anticipated Launch Later This Year, According to Report

Tesla is working on registering its Full Self-Driving software with authorities in China as the launch of the software in the country approaches. The feature is expected to be offered as a monthly subscription in some Chinese cities later this year. The recent Spring update to Tesla’s operating system version 12 has caused some employees’ cars in China to display the message “Employee FSD Beta Program: Registered.” This update is considered a preliminary step in the FSD rollout for employees in China. Tesla is also working on integrating Baidu Maps V.20 into its vehicles in China. Elon Musk has hinted at offering full self-driving software to customers in China soon.
