Tesla CEO Plans to Invest More Than $500 Million to Construct Thousands of New Superchargers by 2024

On Friday, Tesla emailed customers in Australia regarding updates on Supercharging following recent layoffs. Elon Musk announced on X plans to expand the Supercharger network with over $500M. Tesla assured Australian customers of continued network expansion and completion of all current construction sites. Rebecca Tinucci, former senior Director of Charging, was among the 500 employees affected by the recent restructuring. Tesla emphasized the importance of the Supercharger network to its mission and highlighted the focus on customer experience. In response, BP Pulse America CEO stated plans to aggressively expand its network with Gigahubs and over 3,000 charging points in the US.
