Musk: Tesla Roadster to Include Flying Abilities

Speaking virtually at the “X Takeover” event, Tesla CEO Elon Musk hinted that the upcoming Roadster model will be able to fly, with a demo planned for next year. Musk mentioned his friend Peter Thiel and their discussions about flying cars, noting that they would be an impressive innovation. The Roadster will combine Tesla’s electric vehicle engineering with SpaceX’s rocket technology. Musk confirmed that the Roadster can fly and explained that it is a joint Tesla SpaceX effort. He also announced that the Robotaxi event has been rescheduled to October 10 to allow for additional design changes and unveilings.
