China’s weekly insurance registration data for the period of October 14 to 20 showed BYD leading with 89,600 new energy vehicles registered. Tesla registered 13,900 vehicles, Li Auto registered 12,100, and XPeng saw a record of 6,300 units. Nio registrations dropped to 3,900 units. Xiaomi reached a record of 5,600 units. Geely’s Zeekr registered 5,200 vehicles, and Leapmotor recorded 8,000. Tesla has registered 483,887 vehicles year to date. XPeng delivered 10,000 units of its Mona M03 model in September.
