Tesla’s Q2 Earnings Fall Short of Estimates

Tesla reported second-quarter earnings with a revenue of $25.5 billion and earnings per share of $0.52. The free cash flow for the quarter was $1.34 billion. The company produced 411,000 vehicles and delivered 444,000 vehicles. They also deployed 9.4 GWh of energy storage products, setting a new record. Option data suggests Tesla shares could swing by 10% by Friday. The stock was trading 2.04% lower after the results were published. Tesla recently signed a contract with Intersect Power for 15.3 GWh of Megapacks for solar and storage projects until 2030.
